Set your TiVo's to the AMC channel tonight as MadMen premieres. This summer series on AMC is set in the early days of the ad industry and is a fascinating look back. It's also an impressive drama written by a Sopranos heavyweight. I got a sneak peek and it looks like it will be one of the few things worth watching this summer. Let me know what you think.

This weekend, the Live Earth concerts drew a tepid 2.7 million viewers on Saturday night on NBC (3 million is the norm for that timeslot). But the webcasts drew an astounding 8 million viewers, and more are possible. That's a record and startling because it turns the industry model on its head.
