I meant to tell you about this last night but spaced out and forgot. There are a few envrionmental sites for kids online that might be good for advertising your competition on:

I'm sure there are more like this that I'm not aware of, too. Since the kids on these sites are already into environmental stuff, I imagine they're more likely to actually enter the competition... Hope this is helpful!

I work at arts>World Financial Center where you've held the Scholastic Book Fairs. They've been very successful.
